Question: q: ios 8 update download takes forever. i was able to update my iphone two days ago within an hour. there is nothing wrong with my internet connection, there is something wrong on apple server side. then bring up the downloads windows via "menu->windows->downloads". This started happening to me last week. apps are taking forever to download. often hours for a single app. tried it on different wifi connections same results. it started before i did the latest os update, and is still doing it after installing 5.1 anyone running into this? iphone downloads fine. wifes ipad downloads fine..

It seems like older devices, like my jailbroken iphone 5 with ios 9.0.2 on it, seem to have a lot of software glitches with app store downloads. sometimes it says apps are downloading, and when i check my home screen, they’re really not.. I'm facing an issue where app downloads and updates are painfully slow. i don't have the fastest connection over wifi at home (7mbps) but it's this same connection that i used to use on the iphone 5s. now a 60mb facebook app update is taking 15-20 minutes to download..
