DEAL Nest Thermostat 3rd Gen is 199 Today at eBay 50 Off

The newest version of the Nest Thermostat (that would be the 3rd gen model) has dropped to just $199.99 today at eBay in a daily deal, a $50 discount. Not only is that a hell of a deal on a smart home product that I personally cannot live without, but it’s worth noting that Nest products are almost never discounted. To see the newest Nest at $50 off is worth running to.

As a recap, the Nest Thermostat wants to automate your home and its temperature. It can be controlled via app, but it also learns your patterns and activities to know when to adjust for the perfect cooling or heating. It works with IFTTT, Amazon Echo, and only gets smarter and more useful by the week. Nest even tries to save you money each month on your power bill, though I can’t say that over the years I have noticed a major impact. I’ll let others who own one weigh in on that front.

Again, $50 is a discount we rarely see, so if a smart home thermostat is something you have been considering, now is the time to jump on it.

The Jaybird X2 sport headphones are some of our favorites around these parts. Not only do they sound great for a Bluetooth pair of headphones, but they look snazzy, fit well, and last for a week’s worth of workouts. They are, at least for me personally, my go-to headphones for workouts and have been since the day they launched.

With that in mind, and if you are in the market for a new pair of top-tier Bluetooth headphones, you may want to cruise over to Amazon today. As of right now, the Jaybird X2 in white has been discounted by $80 to $99. There are others that are $70, $60, and $50 off as well.

My guess is that they are being discounted because Jaybird just launched their new Freedom headphones this morning. While the Freedom look promising and should be a solid option, at $99, the X2 are just too good of a deal to pass on.

Google’s Nexus 5, a phone so loved they re-created it in modern form as the Nexus 5X, can be purchased today at Woot.com for a ridiculously low price of $149.99. The best part? These are brand new Nexus 5s. I don’t know how that’s possible, but I’m not about to complain about a 2.5-year old darling of a phone available to fans or those in dire need of an affordable, yet still awesome phone, in new condition.

The listing says that this is the D820 model, which is the North America variant that works perfectly on AT&T or T-Mobile or a variant of GSM prepaid outfits. This phone will not work on Sprint or Verizon. 

As a reminder, this phone is still (for now) being supported by Google and runs the latest version of Android Marshmallow.

Google’s dongle line-up is currently on sale with a $5 discount at retailers like Best Buy and through the Google Store. The dongles I’m talking about are the Chromecast and Chromecast Audio of course, two products from Google that turn TVs and speakers into Cast-ready devices for modern day stream-a-thons. With a $5 discount, you are looking at spending just $30 for each.

Not sure what a Chromecast does? Please leave now. I’m kidding! 

A Chromecast is a device that plugs into your TV, allowing you to stream content from your phone or a computer to that TV. You can toss up some YouTube clips, movies from a variety of services, music from just as many more, and even play games through them with friends. It’s one of the best pieces of technology that Google has released in recent years, especially at the price. The Chromecast Audio is similar, only its an audio-only product.
